About Me

My name is Sarah and I am the mother to three grown up children, who are my world and inspire me every day. We do everything together, travel, music, theatre and of course visiting restaurants, we are all complete foodies. I have been married for 25 years, and we have two fur babies Alfie and Rosie.

I qualified as a nurse 30 years ago this year and being a nurse defines who I am as a person. I am proud to be a nurse, and the years of nursing have allowed me to develop excellent communication skills and acute listening skills. I love to hear patient's stories, who they are and what is important to them. I am kind, sensitive and empathetic, so becoming a funeral celebrant feels like a natural step to take.

I believe it is a privilege to work with people, at the most challenging time and un-deniably one of the worst periods of life. I will offer to you and your family warmth, care, kindness, comfort and compassion. I will arrange to meet you and other significant members of the family and listen to stories of your loved one, guide and support you through the devastation of grief. Together we will create a ceremony that brings comfort to you and loved ones, that creates the spirit of their personality, celebrating the uniqueness of your person. To share memories, tears and laughter to demonstrate the love for your person surrounded by family and friends. A unique ceremony to honour the life of your loved one.

I will guide you through the decisions of music, readings, tributes, prayers and any other rituals you wish to add. Your funeral for your loved one can be as creative as you wish, it will be as unique as they were. A well thought out funeral is not only a memorial of your loved one, but I passionately believe it can help the grieving process and begin the steps of healing.

Let’s create a unique tribute to honour your loved one.
